Crochet Washcloth Pattern - Ripple Stitch

Here is the pattern for the second washcloth from my mini gift project. This pattern works very easily but slightly slower than the rised brik stitch washcloth . Crochet Washcloth Pattern - Raised Brick Stitch

These days I am working on a gift made of washcloths which I will put in a small crochet basket. I will post the patterns for all washcloths as well as for the basket at the end. I hope you enjoy this project. Here I start with the pattern for the first washcloth for which I used cotton yarn, Drops Paris, and 5mm hook. To finish the project there is a need of tapestry needle to wave in the ends. The pattern for the raised brick stitch starts with a chain, which has number of stitches multiple of 4 + 1. For this washcloth I worked chain of 41. Row 1 : (wrong side row) 1 tr in the 4th ch from hook, 1 tr in each ch to end. Turn Row 2 : 3 ch, skip first tr, *1 FRDTR around the next tr, 1 tr in each of the next 3 tr. Then repeat from * finishing the last two stitches of the row with 1 FRDTR around the last tr and 1 tr in the thirds of chain 3. Turn. Row 3: 2 ch, skip first tr, *1 BRTR around FRDTR form Row 2, then 1FRTR around the next 3 tr. Repeat from *, ending the row wi...

Ribbed Stitch Crochet Pattern - Faux Knit Look

Here I will present to you the ribbed stitch which looks beautiful not only for hats, but also for blankets, cushions, scarves, washcloths... you name it! I like this stitch not only because it is veritable but it is also very easy to knit (and quick)! Abbreviations UK terms (US terms): dc = double crochet (sc = single crochet) trc = treble crochet (dc = double crochet)   Pattern The pattern is UK terms and US terms in the brackets. I hope that helps. To start, crochet a chain with any number of stitches. Row 1: Ch 3, then work 1 trc (1 dc) in every stitch to the end. Row 2: ch1, dc (sc) in the back bar of each trc (dc) from Row 1.  [The back bar is where the hook is inserted on the picture on the left. Working like this, will create knit like stitch on the front side.]   Row 3 : Ch3 then crochet 1 trc (1 dc) in the back loop of every dc (sc) from Row 2. Ch1, turn. Repeat Row 2 and Row 3 as many times as needed to...
