Cable baby blanket knitting pattern


I was looking to knit cable blanket, light, airy and timeless. Cables are classic and I hope this cable knit blanket will not go out of style or at least not soon. This pattern met my goal, I love it and I hope you will love it too.


You will need:
Circular Knitting size 4 mm (US 6).
Yarn needle to wave in the ends.
100% Cotton; approximately 7 x 50 gr balls. 
Size of the blanket 70 x 90 cm
    
Stitch abbreviations:
P= purl;
K= knit;
P= yarn over;
sk2po= slip2 together, pass the slipped stitch over.                   

The Pattern:
Cast on 167 sts on circular needles size 4 mm. 
Row 1 to 18: Purl. 
Row 19(RS): P10, k1, p1, * k6, p1, yo, k3, sk2po, k3, yo, p1*. Repeat from* to * 8 times; k6, p1, k1, P10. 
Row 20: Purl.
Row 21: P10, k1, p1, *k6, p1, k1, yo, k2, sk2po, k2, yo, k1, p1*. Repeat from* to * 8 times; k6, p1, k1, P10.
Row 22: Purl.
Row 23:P10, k1, p1, *k6, p1, k2, yo, k1, sk2po, k1, yo, k2, p1*. Repeat from* to * 8 times; k6, p1, k1, P10. 
Row 24: Purl.
Row 25: P10, k1, p1, *Cable 6 back (3 and 3) sts, p1, k3, yo, sk2po, yo, k3, p1*. Repeat from* 8 times; Cable 6 back (3 and 3)sts, p1,k1, P10.
Row 26: Purl

Repeat from 19 to 26 until you reach the desired length.

Apple leaves Baby Blanket - Lacy Knitting Pattern

Below is the knitting pattern for this lovely blanket. You could also order to be knitted for you from the  Messy Yarn shop . Measurements: The blanket is 83cm long and 62cm wide and we used a combination of two types of lacy stitches.  Materials: This blanket is knitted with around 250 gr of fine 100% merino yarn Drops Design Baby Merino Needles: 3.5cm cable needles Abbreviations P  =   Purl K  =  Knit yo = yarn over SKP = slip, knit, pass the slipped stitch over. This is a left-leaning decrease. If you are more used to SSK (slip, slip, knit), just substitute the SKP with the SSK. The effect will be the same.
