Stitch abbreviations

P = Purl

K = Knit

yo = yarn over

k2tog = knit 2 stitches together

SSK = Slip, slip, knit. This is a left-leaning decrease. If you are more used to SKP (slip, knit, pass the slipped stitch over), just substitute the SSK with the SKP. The effect will be the same.

sl2tog-k1-psso = slip 2 stitches together; knit 1 stitch, pass 2 slipped stitches over (2 stitches decreased)

Sts = stitches

Adjusting the size of the blanket

If you wish to knit a larger size, you can add more figures by knitting 8 additional stitches for each figure. Be sure to adjust the repeats in each row accordingly to match the number of figures added. For example, if you add one figure, the repeat of 18 stitches will become 19, and so on.
